• WHATMORE – the emerging sound of NYC

5 friends that graduated from the same high school are now defining fresh new sound of New York.

“It’s very fluid, very New York. I feel like New York is a genre”.

There songs being a genre blend of pop, rap, punk, indie, jazz, alt rock. Pulling their inspirations form what surrounded them throughout their life, the New York based collective have stated that their genre is New York.

Starting off with making short yet full of life remixes of popular songs on TikTok they were able to build a small following. They slowly transitioned into promoting their first over the course of a few months.

For every single off the album they released, they also created and published a video introducing one of the members of the band.

The self titled album WHATMORE released on October 17th. This first project kept listeners on their feet by never having a song back to back with the same tone or genre.

  • The most special NBA player- Scotty Barnes (we love scotty!)

Scotty is well known for how locked in he is in the sport! Super talented Young NBA star but also super special. He is also known for the goofy personality we all love.

Scottie Barnes deserves a championship because he brings almost everything you want in a winning player:

    • Elite versatility — he can defend every position, handle the ball, rebound, pass, and score.
    • Unselfish playstyle — he makes teammates better instead of chasing stats.
    • High energy every game — he plays hard on both ends and competes constantly.
    • Strong personality and leadership — positive attitude, confidence, and great chemistry with teammates and fans.
    • Big-game mentality — he embraces pressure instead of avoiding it.

He’s the kind of player who impacts winning even when he isn’t scoring 30 points.

  • Alien on the court? – Victor Wembanyama

    quick crossovers

    step-back threes

    fast breaks

    spin moves

His athleticism is what really makes him different. There have been tall players before, but almost none with:

    • his coordination
    • balance
    • flexibility
    • acceleration
    • lateral movement

At his size, he should move stiffly — but instead he glides around the court.

Scouts called him the best basketball prospect since LeBron James because he can:

    • protect the rim like an elite center
    • shoot like a forward
    • dribble like a guard

That combination is why people call him “The Alien.” He already led the NBA in blocks and became one of the league’s best defenders almost immediately after entering the NBA

  • A 50 goal scorer – A flub in the playoffs?

Cole Caufield has gone cold in the playoffs only scoring one power play goal in 8 games.

Cole Caufield is the leading Montreal Canadiens goal scorer in the regular season scoring a whopping 51 goals in 81 games played. This is a record that hasn’t been set in over 20 years for the oldest franchise in the league. He was in the race for the Rocket Richard trophy, a trophy given to the player in the league with the most amount of goals in the regular season. Nathan Mackinnon beat Caufield’s personal record by 2 goals, scoring 53. Scoring 50 goals in the modern Nhl is by no means a common feat, this is a mark of a future legend. But here comes the issue. In arguably the most important time of the year – the playoffs, Cole Caufield has only scored 1 goal in 8 games with his only one being from a power play. What makes this so detrimental for the Canadiens is that all of Caufield’s regular season goals all came from “proper” goals where he essentially scored all of his goals on a goalkeeper and none in an empty net. The fans have already shown frustration in the young 25 year old forward due to his inconsistency and inability to score goals on 5 on 5 situations.

Will Caufield be able to score an actual 5 on 5 goal in game 8 or will he keep disappointing the fans?
