Gianluigi Buffon was born on January 28, 1978, in Carrara, Italy. Coming from a family of athletes, Buffon developed a passion for sports at a young age and eventually focused on football. He began his professional career with Parma in 1995, quickly gaining attention as one of the most talented young goalkeepers in Europe. His performances helped Parma win several trophies, including the UEFA Cup, Coppa Italia, and Supercoppa Italiana in 1999.
In 2001, Buffon transferred to Juventus for what was then a world-record fee for a goalkeeper. At Juventus, he became one of the greatest players in the club’s history. Known for his incredible reflexes, leadership, and consistency, Buffon helped Juventus win numerous Serie A titles and became captain of the team.
